One more Omicron case detected in Vadodara

Vadodara: In Gujarat, a 27-year-old woman with a travel history to the UK was found infected with the Omicron variant of coronavirus in Vadodara yesterday. According to sources, the patient is asymptomatic. This is the third Omicron case in Vadodara and the 12th in Gujarat so far.

The woman had returned from the UK on 13th December via Mumbai. She had tested negative at both the airports. Later, she complained of fever and her re-test confirmed that she was infected with the Omicron



variant.

Meanwhile, a Gujarat government has extended the Night Curfew in 8 Cities amid Omicron Scare. The night curfew extended amid rising cases of Omicron in the country, The curfew will remain effective between 1am and 5am.

It will be enforced in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar and Junagarh till 31st  December. According to official sources, the state reported 70 new Covid19 cases yesterday.
