Over 196 crore 62 lakh vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. The Health Ministry said, over 14 lakh 91 thousand doses were administered yesterday. The recovery rate is currently at 98.60 per cent. Ten thousand nine hundred 72 people recovered in the last 24 hours. Total Recoveries have reached four crore 27 lakh 36 thousand 27. Thirteen thousand three hundred 13 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. India's Active caseload currently stands at 83 thousand 990.
Active cases stand at 0.19 per cent. Daily positivity rate is at 2.03 per cent and Weekly positivity rate is at 2.81 per cent. 38 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. Over 85 crore 94 lakh tests have been conducted so far. Over six lakh 56 thousand tests were conducted in the last 24
hours.
Meanwhile Health Ministry said that more than 193 crore 53 lakh vaccine doses have been provided to States and UTs so far through the Centre's free of cost channel and through direct state procurement category. It said, more than 12 crore 39 lakh balance and unutilised COVID vaccine doses are still available with the States and UTs to be administered.
As part of the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, Centre has been supporting the States and UTs by providing them COVID vaccines free of cost. In the new phase of the universalisation of the COVID-19 vaccination drive, the Centre will procure and supply free of cost 75 per cent of the vaccines being produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country to States and UTs.
