Over 4,56,000 people affected recovered from Coronavirus in the country

The Central Government today said a total of four lakh 56 thousand 831 people affected with coronavirus have recovered in the country so far. In the last 24 hours, 16 thousand 883 people have recovered from Covid-19 and with this the recovery rate has reached 61.53 per cent.

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry said a total of 22 thousand 752 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the country within 24 hours taking the total number of cases to seven lakh 42 thousand 417. In a single day, 482 deaths have been reported taking the nationwide toll to 20 thousand 642. Presently, the total number of active corona cases in the



country is two lakh 64 thousand 944.

The Indian Council of Medical Research, ICMR has said that a total of two lakh 62 thousand 679 tests of corona virus samples were conducted by the various laboratories in the country within 24 hours. This is the highest number of tests conducted by the laboratories in one day since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic in India. So far, one crore four lakh 73 thousand 711 tests have been conducted.

ICMR is continuously scaling up its testing facilities for Covid-19 by giving approval to government and private laboratories.
