The Railway Protection Force (Delhi) switching their gears is involved in the fight against COVID19, operating quarantine centers as well distributing cooked meals with an NGO to around 2.75 lakh people across 20 locations.
The quarantine facilities operated by the RPF at Daya Basti and Tughlaqabad having a total
capacity of 90 beds and currently housing 70 people.
The Force, in coordination with IRCTC, NGOs, and using its own resources has distributed more than 2.75 lakh packets of cooked meals at around 20 locations which account for more than 10% of the pan-Indian distribution of meals by Indian Railways since the lockdown.
