In Tamil Nadu, the active Covid-19 caseload has dropped to 10-thousand 997 while the new infections yesterday have been 1410.
This is the first time after about six months that the Covid-19 active caseload has come down below 11 thousand in Tamil Nadu, since 2nd June to be specific. The statewide mortalities due to the viral infection remained in a single digit at nine for the second
continuous day yesterday.
The recovery rate has further improved to 97.09 percent, and the case mortality rate continues to be close to 1.5 percent. Except four districts, the 33 other districts reported zero mortality. Similarly, the central districts of Ariyalur and Perambalur reported no new infection, whose active caseload is also very low.
