Tamil Nadu reports 5,337 new Covid-19 cases

Tamil Nadu on Tuesday reported 5,406 recoveries while 5,337 new COVID cases were recorded, taking the caseload to 5,52,674. The death toll mounted to 8,947 with an addition of 76 more fatalities.

With 5,406 patients getting



discharged from various hospitals, the recoveries outnumbered fresh cases and 4,97,377 is the aggregate number of people who have got cured of COVID in Tamil Nadu as on date.

The active cases continued to be below the 50,000 mark at 46,350.
