Tamil Nadu reports 5,834 new COVID-19 infections

A total of 6,005 Covid-19 recovered patients were discharged from various hospitals in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday while 5,834 persons tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours, said the State Health Department. 

In a statement issued here the department said 6,005 Covid-19 recovered



patients were discharged from different hospitals in the state taking the tally to 250,680. 

The total number of persons who tested positive for coronavirus went up by 5,834 to 308,649. The number of active Covid-19 cases in the state after taking into account the cured and dead stands at 52,810.
