Tamil Nadu reports over 34 thousand fresh Covid cases

Tamil Nadu has registered more than 34 thousand fresh COVID cases on Wednesday.

 

More than 2.53 lakh people are under treatment for the pandemic.

 

Over 23 thousand people were discharged after treatment.

 

According to the State Health Department, a total of 1,70,355 samples were tested during the day.

 

Capital Chennai continues the downward trend and the



total of positive cases stood at 6,297.

 

Coimbatore recorded 3,250 cases followed by Chengalpattu which had more than two thousand positive cases.

 

Erode, Madurai, Tiruvallur, Tiruppur and Tiruchirapalli had more than one thousand positive cases.

 

Chennai had a maximum of 91 deaths out of the total 365  deaths in the state.
