Tamil Nadu witnesses 4,231 new Covid 19 infections, tally stands to 1,26,581

Tamil Nadu has reported 4,231 new cases of Covid 19 infections on Thursday apart from 65 deaths caused by the disease. The total number of coronavirus positive cases in the state stands at 1,26,581 including 46,652 active cases and 1,765 deaths, according to data released by the state health



department.

The numbers recorded over the last 24 hours, released on Thursday, are substantially higher than 3,756 new Covid-19 cases reported in the 24-hour period ending Wednesday afternoon.

However, the number of casualties reported on Wednesday--64—was comparable to the 65 deaths reported on Thursday.
