Fifteen new coronavirus positive cases that include three migrants and 12 from GHMC areas were reported in Telangana on Thursday.
Recovery rate among Covid-19 positive patients in the State continued to improve with health authorities on Thursday discharging 45 persons from Gandhi Hospital.
With this, the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients in Telangana shot up to 61 per cent with authorities so far discharging 693 of the total 1,122 patients. As on Thursday, 400 active Covid-19 positive cases were admitted to Gandhi Hospital.
According to health officials, of the 45 patients discharged on Thursday, 27 were from Hyderabad, eight from Gadwal, two each from Suryapet and Rangareddy districts and one each from Vikarabad, Adilabad, Medchal, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and
Sangareddy.
At present, there are 22 districts that have not reported a single case in the last 14 days. These include Karimnagar, Sircilla, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Bhupalpally, Sangareddy, Nagarkurnool, Mulugu, Peddapally, Siddipet, Mahbubabad, Mancherial, Bhadradri, Vikarabad, Nalgonda, Asifabad, Khammam, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Suryapet and Narayanpet.
The health authorities said the three migrants who tested positive for Covid-19 were travelling to Jangaon from Mumbai and were intercepted in Hyderabad. Subsequent tests revealed that the three persons were SARS-CoV-2 positive.
All persons who will reach Telangana from other parts of the country, including those who arrive from other countries, will be screened for Covid-19, health officials added.
