Ahead of the crucial video conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao held a high-level meeting of state officials and ministers.

CM KCR expressed satisfaction that the Covid-19 spread has been on the decline in the state due to the implementation of lockdown.

The CM said that if people extend their support to the lockdown for some more days and follow the guidelines provided by the government on containment of the virus spread, the situation would further improve for the better.

KCR said that on Monday when PM Modi interacts with the CMs through video conference, then the situation in the country would be known.

“The PM has a video conference with all the CMs of the country. The CMs will explain about situation in their respective



states at the conference. There will be some estimate on the situation in the country and in the states. Opinions on how the next plan of action will also be figured on Monday’s conference. Hence, there will be clarity on future course of action,” the CM said.

KCR held a high-level review meeting in Hyderabad's Pragathi Bhavan on Sunday on the implementation of lockdown, measures taken to contain the spread of coronavirus and other issues.

The CM reviewed the situation in Hyderabad and other areas. He felt that the death rate due to coronavirus in the state is far less than the national average, which is some solace to the state.

KCR said that if the ongoing lockdown continues for some time, people maintain their personal hygenie and take precautions, the virus spread will come down completely in the coming days.
