Telangana confirms 274 new Covid-19 cases

Hyderabad: The uptick in daily new Covid-19 infections has continued in Telangana with the health department reporting 274 new infections on Sunday. A total of 212 Covid positive infections were reported from areas under GHMC, according to the health bulletin.

Apart from 274 Covid infections, there was one fatality on Sunday, taking the cumulative number of deaths to 4030. The total number of positive cases so far in Telangana has reached 6, 82, 489 while the number of active cases as on Sunday was 3,779.

The authorities on Sunday conducted 21,679 Covid tests of which results of 3,661 samples were awaited. A total of 227 individuals have



recovered with a recovery rate of 98.85 per cent on Sunday.

So far, a total of 2,97,59,257 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 6,82,489 have tested positive and 6, 74, 680 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included one from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 212 from areas under GHMC, eight from Khammam, one from Mahabubabad, 17 from Medchal-Malkajgiri, two from Nalgonda, four from Nizamabad, one from Rajanna Siricilla, 18 from Rangareddy, four from Sangareddy, two from Siddipet, one from Wanaparthy and three from Warangal Rural.
