Telangana confirms 482 new Covid cases

Hyderabad: In a significant surge in daily Covid-19 infections in Telangana, the health authorities on Monday have reported 482 Covid positive cases out of which 294 positive infections were from areas under GHMC. Other urban centers in Telangana including Medchal-Malkajgiri and Rangareddy districts have also reported a surge in Covid infections on Monday.

In addition to 484 positive infections, the health authorities also reported one fatality, which has taken the number of deaths to 4031. The total number of positive cases so far in Telangana has reached 6, 82, 971 while the number of active cases as on Monday was 4, 048.

The authorities on Monday conducted 38, 362 Covid tests of which results of 3, 228 samples were awaited. A total of 212 individuals have recovered with a recovery rate of 98.81 per cent on



Monday.

So far, a total of 2, 97, 97, 619 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 6, 82, 971 have tested positive and 6, 74, 892 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included nine from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 294 from areas under GHMC, eight from Jagityal, one from Kamareddy, three from Karimnagar, six from Khammam, one from Komarambheem Asifabad, two from Mahabubnagar, 18 from Mahabubabad, four from Mancherial, two from Medak, 48 from Medchal-Malkajgiri, seven from Nalgonda, three from Nizamabad, four from Peddapalli, two from Rajanna Siricilla, 55 from Rangareddy, three from Sangareddy, one from Siddipet, two from Suryapet, one each from Vikarabad, Wanaparthy and Warangal Rural, four from Hanumakonda and two from Yadadri Bhongir.
