Telangana detected 269 positive cases, tally climbs to 5675

Telangana reported 269 new cases of Covid-19 infections and one fatality, taking the total number of infections in the state to 5675 and death toll to 192, according to the health bulletin on Wednesday.

The 269 positive cases is single-largest one-day surge of cases in Telangana State. For the first time in Hyderabad, since the Covid-19 pandemic, the



coronavirus positive cases crossed the 200 mark in a single day and have reached 214 on Wednesday.

The health officials tested 1096 swab samples of suspected patients out of which 269 samples were positive and 827 samples were negative. In the last 24 hours, the health authorities also discharged 151 patients, taking the total number recoveries in Telangana State to 3071.
