Telangana detects 1,879 new cases of COVID-19

Telangana reported 1879 new Covid-19 positive cases and seven fatalities on Tuesday, pushing the toll to 313 and taking the cumulative number of positive cases to 27, 612. In the last 24 hours, 1422 persons have tested positive from areas under GHMC while another 176 have tested positive from Rangareddy and another 94 tested positive from Medchal district.

On Tuesday, the authorities also discharged



1, 506 persons, taking the overall number of recoveries to 16, 287 while the number of active Covid-19 positive cases is at 11, 012.

In the last 24 hours, the health department tested 6, 220 samples out of which 4, 341 tested negative while 1, 879 samples tested positive. Overall, so far Telangana State has conducted 1, 28, 438 tests out of which 1, 00, 826 samples have tested negative and 27, 612 tested positive.
