Telangana logs 162 new covid cases, one fatality on Friday

Telangana reported 162 new Covid infections and one fatality on Friday taking the cumulative number of deaths to 4,019 and the total number of positive cases so far to 6,80,413. The number of active cases in Telangana, as on Friday, was 3,547.

The authorities on Friday conducted 35,037 Covid tests of which results of 4,267 samples were awaited. A total of 210 individuals have recovered with a recovery rate of 98.83 per cent on Friday.

So far, a total of 2,94,68,944 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 6,80,413 have tested positive



and 6,72,847 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included two from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 81 from areas under GHMC, one from Jagityal, five each from Karimnagar and Khammam, three from Mahabubnagar, one each from Mahabubabad and Mancherial.

Eight from Medchal-Malkajgiri and Nalgonda, one from Narayanpet, three from Nizamabad, one each from Peddapalli and Rajanna Siricilla, 24 from Rangareddy, two from Sangareddy, one from Siddipet, two from Suryapet, one from Wanaparthy, 10 from Hanamkonda and one from Yadadri Bhongir.
