In Telangana, over 23 thousand elderly people and those who are above 45 years of age with comorbidities have been vaccinated yesterday. The state government has also increased the COVID Vaccination Centres to 391 while the Second phase of vaccination is underway. The state health authorities have so far administered COVID Vaccine to over 5 lakh 35 thousand people.
News reports that the second phase of COVID vaccination is slowly picking up momentum with the elderly people increasingly showing interest to get the vaccination. Over 71 thousand common people who are above 60 years and those who are above 45 with comorbidities have been so far
vaccinated in Telangana. The state authorities also scaled up the number of COVID Vaccination Centres now to 391 from the hundred centres five days ago when the second phase vaccination commenced.
Many public personalities including Ministers are taking the COVID vaccine. On the other hand, Telangana reported 170 fresh Covid cases during the past 24 hours. The state so far reported over 2 lakh 99 thousand covid-19 cases out of which 98.8 per cent that means over 2 lakh 96 thousand recovered. Except for a few districts including Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy and Karimnagar, all districts are reporting fresh COVID cases only in single digit.
