Telangana records 1,676 new Coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Telangana recorded 1,676 new COVID-19 positive cases during the last 24 hours, taking the total tally to 41,018 in the state. Out of the 1676 new cases, 788 were reported from Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area while neighbouring Rangareddy district accounted for 224 cases and 

Medchal−Malkajgiri district for 160 new cases. About a dozen other districts also recorded fresh COVID cases in double digits while over a dozen more districts



accounted for fresh COVID cases in single digits.

Meanwhile, 10 persons lost their lives from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll in the state to 3,396. Recoveries from coronavirus are also on rise in Telangana with 1,296 people being discharged from hospitals across the state in the last 24 hours. With this, total recovered cases in the state stand at 27 thousand 295 so far.
