Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 1802 new Covid-19 infections and nine fatalities on Sunday, taking the overall toll to 895 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 1,42,771. As on Sunday, the total active Covid-19 cases in TS are 31,635.
As many as 2,711 persons have recovered by Sunday, pushing the overall Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,10,241 with a recovery rate of 77.2 percent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 77.25 per cent.
Between Saturday and Sunday, the health authorities conducted 36,593 Covid tests in the State while reports of another 1, 759 samples are awaited. Overall, so far authorities have conducted 17,66,982 tests.
A total of 24,596 patients are under home isolation across the State while 7,039 cases are in institutional
care.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include 16 from Adilabad, 49 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 245 from areas under GHMC, 73 from Jagtiyal, 30 from Jangaon, one from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 17 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 46 from Kamareddy, 136 from Karimnagar, 64 from Khammam, 13 from Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, 40 from Mahabubnagar, 63 from Mahabubabad, 44 from Mancherial, 10 from Medak, 65 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 11 from Mulugu, 29 from Nagarkurnool, 79 from Nalgonda, two from Narayanpet, 14 from Nirmal, 94 from Nizamabad, 32 from Peddapally, 20 from Rajanna Sircilla, 158 from Rangareddy, 103 from Sangareddy, 106 each from Siddipet, 62 from Suryapet, 12 from Vikarabad, 25 from Wanaparthy, 21 from Warangal Rural, 93 from Warangal Urban and 29 from Yadadri Bhongir.
