Telangana recorded 189 fresh positive cases and two deaths until 8 pm on Tuesday taking the total tally to 3,00,342 and the death toll to 1,646.
Meanwhile, the total recovery count went up to 2,96,916 with the recovery of 176 recoveries in a single day. At present, there are 1,780 active cases out of which 693 are in home or institutional isolation.
Between Monday and Tuesday, around 39,000 tests were conducted including 17,160 on primary contacts and 4,680 on secondary contacts.
However, the reports of 189 came positive and the results of 578 are pending. So far, 90,55,741 tests have been conducted since the pandemic broke out in the
state.
The positive cases reported across the state include 34 from GHMC, 15 from Rangareddy, 12 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 10 from Karimnagar, 9 from Warangal Urban, 8 each from Adilabad and Mancherial, 7 each from Khammam, Nalgonda and Nizamabad, 6 each from Sangareddy and Siddipet, 5 each from Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubnagar, Rajanna Sircilla, and Vikarabad, 4 each from Kamareddy, Mahabubabad, Narayanpet and Nirmal, 3 each from Warangal Rural and Jagtial, 2 each from Jangaon, Komarambheem Asifabad and Wanaparthy, one each from Jogulamba Gadwal, Nagarkurnool, Suryapet and Yadadri Bhongir, zero cases from Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Mulugu.
