As many as 417 fresh coronavirus cases were reported in Telangana taking the total number of cases to 2,88,410 while the death toll reached 1,556 with two persons dying of the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the recoveries went up to 2,81,872 with the recovery of 472 persons in a single day.
At present, there are 4,982 active cases out of which 2,748 are in-home or institutional isolation. Between Monday and Thursday, around 43,318 tests were conducted including 19,059 tests on primary contacts and 5,198 tests on secondary contacts. However, the results of 417 came positive and the reports of 471 are
awaited.
The positive cases reported across the state include 82 from GHMC, 34 from Rangareddy, 32 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 24 from Karimnagar, 19 from Sangareddy, 13 from Warangal Urban, 12 from Mancherial, 11 each from Yadadri Bhongir, Siddipet, Nizamabad and Bhadradri Kothagudem, 10 each from Adilabad, Jagtial, Kamareddy and Khammam, 9 each from Nagarkurnool and Suryapet, 8 each from Mahabubnagar, Mahabubabad, Peddapalli and Vikarabad, 7 each from Jangaon, Jogulamba Gadwal, Mulugu, Rajanna Sircilla and Warangal Rural, 5 each from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Medak and Nirmal, 4 from Wanaparthy,2 from Komarambheem Asifabad and zero cases from Narayanpet.
