Telangana registers new 1,891 COVID-19 infections with 10 deaths

Telangana has reported 1891 new Covid-19 infections and 10 fatalities on Saturday which has taken the overall toll to 540 and the cumulative number of positive cases in the State to 66,677.

The State health authorities have also conducted 19,202 Covid-19 tests between Friday and Saturday night and results of 1656 more swab samples are still pending. So



far, 4, 77, 795 swab samples have been tested in the State since the outbreak of the pandemic out of which 66, 677 have tested positive.

As many as 1088 persons have recovered by Saturday evening, pushing the overall number of recoveries in the State to 47, 590 with a recovery rate of 71.3 percent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 64.53 per cent.
