Telangana reported 5,559 fresh Covid-19 cases; 41 deaths

Telangana reported 5,559 fresh COVID cases during the past 24 hours. Currently over 71,300 active cases are in the state. The number of COVID cases reported so far in the state has gone up to 4 lakh 87 thousand 199. 

While the recovery rate improved to 84.81 per cent from about 82 percent a few days ago, 8 thousand 61 more people recovered from the disease. This took the total recoveries in the state to over 4 lakh, 13 thousand 225.

 

41 more people died due to COVID and other comorbidities in the state during the



past 24 hours taking the toll to 2666. Meanwhile, the GHMC area reported 984 fresh COVID cases during the past 24 hours while Medchal Malkajgiri, Rangareddy and Warangal Urban districts reported about three hundred and above cases each. 

The Telangana state government has announced that only the second dose of COVID vaccine only will be given till 12th of this month due to less supply of vaccines. The state government has also written to the centre to allocate minimum 2 lakh doses per day to the state.
