Hyderabad: There were 1763 new Covid-19 infections and eight fatalities in Telangana till Tuesday night, taking the overall toll to 719 and the cumulative number of positive cases to 95,700. The total active cases now is 20,990.

Between Monday and Tuesday night, 1,789 persons recovered, pushing the overall number of recoveries in the State to 73,991 with a recovery rate of 77.31 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 73.18 per cent. According to the daily health bulletin, the mortality in the State is 0.75 per cent while the countrywide figure is 1.92 per cent.

Out of the 20,990 active Covid positive patients, health officials said that 14,461 Covid-19 positive patients were under home isolation across the State while 6,529 positive cases were in institutional care.

Officials conducted 24,542 Covid-19 tests till Tuesday and test results of



1,042 samples are pending. So far, 7,97,470 samples have been tested.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include eight from Adilabad, 35 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 484 from areas under GHMC, 61 from Jagtiyal, 20 from Jangaon, 17 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 30 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 63 from Kamareddy, 53 from Karimnagar, 41 from Khammam, six from Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, 33 from Mahabubnagar, 18 from Mahabubabad, 55 from Mancherial, 17 from Medak, 169 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 12 from Mulugu, 15 from Nagarkurnool, 65 from Nalgonda, six from Narayanpet, 16 from Nirmal, 45 from Nizamabad, 46 from Peddapally, 31 from Rajanna Sircilla, 166 from Rangareddy, 31 from Sangareddy, 37 from Siddipet, 20 from Suryapet, eight from Vikarabad, 21 from Wanaparthy, 31 from Warangal Rural, 88 from Warangal Urban and 15 from Yadadri Bhongir.
