Telangana recorded 2474 new Covid-19 infections and seven fatalities on Friday taking the overall toll to 744 and the cumulative number of positive cases to 1, 01, 865. The total active cases as on Friday night in the State was 22,386.
Health authorities conducted 43,095 Covid-19 tests while test results of another 1239 swab samples are pending. Between Thursday and Friday night, a total of 1,768 persons in the State have recovered, taking the overall number of recoveries in the State to 78,735 with a recovery rate of 77.29 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 74.30 per cent
So far, a total of 8, 91,173 swab samples have been tested in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic out of which 1, 01, 865 have tested positive and 78,735 persons have recovered. According to the health bulletin, the mortality rate in the State is 0.73 percent while the countrywide figure is 1.89 per cent.
Out of
the 22,386 active Covid positive patients, as many as 15, 931 patients are under home isolation across the State while 6,455 positive cases are in institutional care.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from districts include 15 from Adilabad, 44 from Bhadradri, 447 from areas under GHMC, 91 from Jagtiyal, 20 from Jangaon, 19 from Bhupalapally, 59 from Gadwal, 61 from Kamareddy, 75 from Karimnagar, 125 from Khammam, 11 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 49 from Mahabubnagar, 59 from Mahabubabad, 53 from Mancherial, 38 from Medak, 149 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 15 Mulugu, 52 from Nagarkurnool, 122 from Nalgonda, 11 from Narayanpet, 19 from Nirmal, 153 from Nizamabad, 79 from Peddapally, 52 from Siricilla, 201 from Rangareddy, 72 from Sangareddy, 92 from Siddipet, 63 from Suryapet, 18 from Vikarabad, 37 from Wanaparthy, 22 from Warangal Rural, 123 from Warangal Urban and 28 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
