Telangana reported 394 fresh COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours. With this, the number of total COVID cases reported in the state so far has gone up to 3 lakh 3 thousand 118 (3,03,118). The State COVID bulletin revealed that 194 more persons recovered from COVID during the same time taking the state recoveries rate to 98.52 per cent. With this, the state has currently over two thousand 8 hundred active COVID cases, out of which over 11 hundred are in home isolation. Meanwhile, three more persons succumbed to COVID-19 and other comorbidities in the state taking the toll to 1669.
In a sudden spurt in the number of COVID cases, GHMC reported 81 fresh cases during the past 24 hours while Ranga
Reddy district reported 64 and Medchal Malkajgiri reported 34 cases. Nagurkurnool and Nalgonda reported 12 each while Several districts like Adilabad, Warangal Urban, Sangareddy, Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Jagityal reported 10-11 cases each during the same period.
Meanwhile, State Health authorities informed that over 9 lakh 30 thousand people including those 2 lakh 70 thousand people who are above 60 years have been vaccinated so far in the state. One lakh 18 thousand people who are above 45 years of age and suffering from comorbidities have been vaccinated.
According to health authorities, over 5 lakh 50 thousand health workers and frontline warriors were also vaccinated.
