Telangana reports 403 new Coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Telangana reported 403 fresh COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours. The state has over 4 thousand 5 hundred active cases currently while over 18 hundred of them are in home isolation. With this, the number of COVID cases in the state has gone up to 3 lakh 6 thousand 742 while over 3 lakh 469 have recovered with 97.95 per cent recovery rate.

According to the State Covid Bulletin, two more persons succumbed to COVID-19 and other comorbidities taking the total deaths in the state to 1690.

 

GHMC area reported 146 fresh COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours while Medchal Malkajgiri,



Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Yadadri Bhuvanagari and Nizamabad districts are among those districts which reported high number of fresh COVID cases during the same period.

Meanwhile, COVID Vaccination programme is underway in Telangana and the state-administered vaccines to about 10 thousand people yesterday. With this, the number of people vaccinated in the state increased to over 11 lakh 73 thousand.

They include 3 lakh 95 thousand people who are above 60 years of age and over 2 lakh 6 thousand who are above 45 years of age with comorbidities.
