Telangana reports 729 new Covid-19 positive cases

In Telangana, 729 new COVID positive cases and six fatalities due to COVID-19 and other comorbidities were reported during the last 24 hours. The total number of positive cases is 6,30,514 while cumulative number of deaths is 3,720. The number of active cases in the State is 10,942. 

During the last 24 hours according to a bulletin issued by Health authorities, the officials conducted 1,06,045 COVID tests. A total of 987 individuals recovered in the same period with



a recovery rate of 97.67 per cent. 

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao held a meeting on the present situation of COVID-19 in the State. He directed the health department officials to conduct a critical analysis of the reason for more cases in areas particularly of Inter-state borders. He also instructed officials to conduct fever surveys in the areas where the cases have not shown a declining trend.
