Telangana reports 997 fresh cases of Covid-19

Telangana state reported 997 fresh COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours. With this the total COVID cases reported in the state has gone up to 2 lakh 55 thousand 663 (2,55,663). The state conducted over 40 thousand tests yesterday. The recovery rate slightly improved to 92.76 per cent with 1222 more people recovering yesterday. This took the number of recovered people so far in the state to 2 lakh 37 thousand 172 (2,37,172).

 

Meanwhile, the daily bulletin issued by the state Medical and Health department



this morning stated that total deaths rose to 1397 following 4 more people succumbed to COVID and comorbidities during the past 24 hours. Currently the state has over 17 thousand active cases out of which over 14 thousand are in home isolation. 

Meanwhile, 169 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Hyderabad while Medchal Malkajgiri, Rangareddy, Bhadradri Kothagudem districts reported little less than hundred new COVID cases each during the same period.
