The state cabinet of Telangana chaired a meeting under the leadership of Chief Minister KCR and decided to permit the liquor shops to restart the liquor sales which were halted due to the lockdown.
As a result, liquor outlets were opened in green and orange zones in the state and the sales recorded a whopping collection of Rs 75 crore which is the highest. Earlier AP recorded around 60 crores of liquor
sales.
The data states that before the lockdown was imposed, the liquor sales in the state used to be between 45 to 50 crore per day. Now the liquor sales reached 75 crores with an increase of around 16%.
With the hike of the liquor prices, Telangana state will be getting around Rs 320 crores per month. If the liquor lovers continue to purchase alcohol in the same way, the liquor sales might even go further and further.
