Telangana witnesses 1,198 new cases, seven deaths

There were 1,198 new Covid-19 cases and seven fatalities in Telangana on Monday, pushing the toll so far to 422 and the total number of positive cases since the onset of the pandemic to 46,274.

The fatality rate of Covid-19 positive cases in Telangana is 0.9 percent while the recovery rate of positive patients in the State is at 74 per cent, which means 74 persons out of 100 Covid-19 positive cases have recovered while the remaining are undergoing



treatment.

In the last 24 hours, health authorities tested 11,003 samples, out of which 1,198 tested positive. Areas under GHMC reported 510 positive cases while 106 cases were reported from Rangareddy and 76 tested positive from Medchal.

According to the daily health bulletin, the number of persons who recovered on Monday was 1,885, which has taken the overall number of recoveries to 34,323. The number of active Covid-19 infections in the State is 11,530.
