One more positive case of coronavirus in Telangana was confirmed on Sunday which is the third in the State so far.
A 46-year-old resident of Rangareddy district with a travel history to the Netherlands and admitted to Gandhi Hospital tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday. The third case is one among the two borderline patients whose samples were sent to NIV, Pune, for confirmation. The second patient tested negative and will be discharged soon.
The condition of the 24-year-old girl student, who is the second positive case, and the 46-year-old man is stable, doctors at
Gandhi Hospital said. “Avoiding mass gatherings is the only way to contain coronavirus from getting into the community. We are getting reports that many marriage halls in the city on Sunday were packed with 2,000 to 3,000 people.
Such gatherings are ideal for rapid transmission, and people should realise this,” said Director of Public Health, TS, Dr G Srinivas Rao.
Meanwhile, 60-year-old Gulf migrant, who is a native of Sundaragiri in Karimnagar, was admitted to Gandhi Hospital with symptoms on Sunday.
