Total number of patients recovered from Covid-19 crosses 8,000 mark in Gujarat

In Gujarat, the total number of patients recovered from Covid 19 crossed 8000 mark on Thursday.

As many as 454 patients were discharged from the various hospitals yesterday. The state recorded 22 deaths due to Covid 19 in the past 24 hours.

The total number of coronavirus cases in the state rose to 15,572. A total of 367 cases were reported from around 21 districts yesterday. Our correspondent reports that as many as 381 patients were discharged in the state capital Ahmedabad. A report..

Although the cases in Ahmedabad continue to rise, the number of discharges is also increasing in the



district.

Ahmedabad district recorded 11, 344 cases which account for more than 70 percent of the total cases in the state.

Surat reported 1465 cases while Rajkot recorded 947 cases till now. The state government re-launched a vaccination drive from this month, which was temporarily closed due to the lockdown.

So far, over 5 lakh pregnant women and children have been covered under the drive this month.  

Meanwhile, the Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court on Thursday assigned a suo motu PIL and other pleas related to the coronavirus outbreak in the state to a new bench.
