Tripura registered first COVID-19 related death in the state after a 42 years old male patient expired yesterday. Law Minister Ratan Lal Nath said the patient was admitted to Gobind Ballabh Pant hospital on June 1 and tested positive for the virus on June 3. Minister further informed that the patient had suffered stroke (CVA) and was a patient of hypertension.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb sharing the unfortunate news on his tweet said that our doctors
gave their best but could not save the patient's life. Meanwhile, at present the state has total of 867 COVID 19 positive patients with 670 active cases while 192 has been recovered so far.
Among the active cases, 52 are in West District, 85 in Gomati District, 24 in Khowai District, nine in North District, 344 in Sepahijala District, 72 in South District, 49 in Unakoti District and 35 in Dhalai District
