In Andhra Pradesh, two more COVID-19 positive cases were reported yesterday, taking the total to 23. A 49 year old male from Kakinada and a 72 year old from Rajamahendravaram in East Godavari District have tested positive. Their travel details are being verified.
 
So far, a total of 649 samples have been tested, out of which 526 proved negative and 23 are positive, pending results of 100 samples.
 
Orders have been passed vide COVID instant order 13 to establish additional sample collection centres in all private medical colleges designated at district COVID



hospitals.
 
Meanwhile, the Health Medical & Family Welfare Department of Andhra Pradesh, issued an order, in exercise of powers vested under Disaster Management Act 2005 and under provision of AP Epidemic Disease (COVID) Regulations, 2020, requisitioning the premises and services of Private Medical Colleges and Hospitals and other Private Hospitals in the state with available resources and manpower at the disposal of the State government.
 
The AP State Govt is taking all precautionary measures to tackle the Epidemic.
