Fauci, one of the most recognized faces on the task force, will enter into a modified quarantine for two weeks after he was around a White House staffer who tested positive for the virus.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield and Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Stephen Hahn are also quarantining.
Vice President Mike Pence, on the other hand, plans to be at the White House on Monday after his press
secretary tested positive for the virus.
A spokesman for the vice president said he will "continue to follow the advice of the White House Medical Unit and is not in quarantine."
Health officials in the U.S. report more than 1.3 million cases and nearly 80,000 deaths from the virus, according to Johns Hopkins University.
As the outbreak in the White House spreads, President Donald Trump hasn't stopped his push to reopen states.
