A patient returned from Cambodia was diagnosed with Murine typhus, a disease caused by a bacteria which spreads to humans through fleas, but the disease normally doesn’t transmit from one



human to another.

The patient is reported to be stable and now undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram.
