Polio vaccination drive in country to begin on Jan 17: Dr Harsh Vardhan

Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan today announced that polio vaccination drive in the country would begin on the 17th of this month.

 

The Health Minister who is on a two day visit to Tamil Nadu spoke to the media after supervising the Covid-19 Vaccination dry run at the Chennai, Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital. 

 

The Minister said that



the Government would eradicate Covid19 just as we did with Polio. The polio vaccination drive would continue for three days this month.

 

The Health Minister will visit the vaccination facilities at various places in Chennai and Kanchipuram. He is also scheduled to visit the Government medicine storage facility in the City.
