New Delhi: Today is World Arthritis Day. The objective of the day is to create awareness among people about rheumatic musculoskeletal disorders and their prevention. This year the theme of this day is It is in your hands, take action. Some of the symptoms of arthritis are redness around joints, pain, swelling, and stiffness in joints.

Uma Kumar said, the estimated prevalence of such rheumatic disorders in the country is around 25 to 30 percent, and out of this, 30 percent of all sufferers of are under the age of 65 years.
Dr Kumar has advised people to exercise regularly practice yoga and keep their weight under control for the prevention of arthritis diseases.
