Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya says no case of new Covid variant Omicron reported in the country

New Delhi: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said, no case of Omicron, the new COVID variant has been reported in any part of the country. In reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Mr Mandaviya said that so far the new variant has been reported in 14 countries. He informed that all precautionary measures are being taken to prevent the virus from entering



into India.

The Health Minister informed the House that although, the COVID situation in the country is under control, the threat of the virus is still prevailing. He also reiterated the Prime Minister’s appeal of following COVID Appropriate Behavior to check the spread of COVID-19.
