Ahead of the state assembly polls, Union Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday held roadshows in Ranibennur and Tiptur Assembly constituencies. A massive crowd of supporters was seen attending the roadshows at both places. Mr Shah promised that his Party would prioritise promoting and conserving places blessed by nature in Karnataka. BJP National President JP Nadda also campaigned in the state capital. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who held a roadshow at Koratagere in Tumkur District, said nobody should keep in mind that Congress will not win for the next 100 years.

As part of its campaign, Janata Dal (Secular) President H D Deve Gowda visited Dakshina Kannada districts yesterday and canvassed for votes in the Mangaluru North constituency for the party candidate.
Meanwhile, BJP released its election manifesto for the Karnataka assembly polls yesterday. BJP National President JP Nadda also released the vision document.
The Congress has already announced five guarantees to the people in Karnataka. It has assured 200 units of free power, 10 kgs of free rice, Rs 2 thousand monthly assistance to the woman head of every family, and free travel to women in city buses, among others. Similarly, JD(S) has also released its manifesto already.
