In Kerala, as assembly election nears, election preparations are in full swing. A total of 957 candidates are contesting in 140 constituencies in the upcoming assembly polls in the State. The picture became clear with the closure of withdrawal of nomination yesterday. Over 2.74 crore voters are there in the State.
7.39 lakh new voters are there this time.Chief Electoral Officer Teekaram Meena informed that thousands of bogus voters are identified in the voters list and detailed investigation will be
done to curb the same.
Meanwhile citizens can inform any kind of violation of model code of conduct through the cVIGIL citizen app and participate in fair election process.
