Bharatiya Janata Party’s national president, JP Nadda held an election rally in Kokrajhar, Assam in support of NDA candidate Jayanta Basumatary.
Addressing the gathering at Kokrajhar Green Field, the BJP national President said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can take strong decision and under his initiative Bodo Peace Accord was signed which paved the way for peace and development in the Bodo Territorial Region (BTR) area after decades of unrest. He said, BTR area was earlier known for violance and disturbances but now this area has set an example of peace and development. He said, the Center has
allocated 1500 crore Rupees for development works as per the peace accord and more than 1000 militant surrendered during this period.
Mr. Nadda slammed the Congress for neglecting and divisive policies for this area and said that BJP believes inclusiveness.
Mr. Nadda will address two more rallies in Assam today. One at Bheragaon in Udaluri district in support of the BJP candidate Dillip Saikia, and the other at Dudnoi Public Playground in support of the BJP’s Guwahati parliamentary candidate, Bijuli Kalita Medhi.
