BJP releases list of 78 candidates for Haryana Assembly polls

The BJP today released a list of 78 candidates for upcoming Haryana Assembly elections.

Chief Minister and senior party leader Manohar Lal will contest from his current Karnal seat.

Wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt will be the candidate from Baroda constituency.

Former Indian hockey captain Sandeep Singh has been fielded from Pehowa and wrestler Babita Phogat from Dadri seat.

State BJP chief Subhash Barala will fight to retain his seat from



Tohana.

Captain Abhimanyu, who is a Minister in the State government, has been given ticket from his current Narnaund assembly seat. Another Minister Om Parkash Dhankar will fight from Badli.

Announcing the names of the candidates in New Delhi, BJP General Secretary Arun Singh said, the party has retained 38 sitting MLAs in this list while seven have been denied tickets.

He said the list also contains names of nine women candidates.
