The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) yesterday released the party manifesto in Mumbai. The manifesto, which was released by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, BJP Working President Jagat Prakash Nadda and State Unit Chief Chandrakant Patil among others, promises to create five crore jobs for the people in the state.
It also promises to make Maharashtra drought-free in coming years and has said that through an ambitious Marathwada Water Grid Project , 11 dams in Marathwada, the region which faces perennial drought
will be connected to each other and the water from these dams will be supplied through pipeline to households.
One crore households will be connected to the women self- help groups to create job opportunities, it said adding that those who are homeless will be provided shelter by 2022 and their houses will have water connections.
Elections in Maharashtra will be held on 21st of October and results be announced on 24th of October.
