BSP releases list of 61 candidates for 5th phase of assembly polls in UP

Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, the Bahujan Samaj party has released a list of 61 candidates for the constituencies going to polls in the fifth phase assembly polls in the State. The Party has also replaced candidates on four seats for the third and fourth phases. These four seats are Kasganj, Pilibhit, and Nighasan and Kasta assembly constituencies of Lakhimpur district.

 

The BJP also announced names of three more candidates. The party has fielded Union Minister Dr. SP Singh Baghel from Karhal seat against Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. Vivek Shakya will fight from Jaswantnagar constituency from where Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) chief Shivpal Singh Yadav is



contesting.

 

Congress party released another list of six candidates yesterday. Out of these six candidates three are women. Urusha Rana, the daughter of noted poet Munawwar Rana has got ticket from Purwa seat of Unnao district. The party has fielded mother of Khushi Dubey, who is an accused in Vikas Dubey case, from Kalyanpur seat.

 

Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party also released a list of five candidates for upcoming assembly polls in the State. Party Chief Omprakash Rajbhar will contest from Zahoorabad seat of Gazipur district while his son Arvind will fight from Shivpur assembly constituency in Varanasi district.
