In poll-bound Uttar Pradesh, the electoral campaign for the Fourth of the Seven-Phase Assembly Elections is going on in full swing.
Political parties have also intensified their poll campaign for the subsequent phases in UP and Two-Phase polling in Manipur. The Star Campaigners and prominent leaders of various political parties are engaged in public rallies. The door-to-door canvassing and virtual appeals to the voters also continue. The party leaders are trying to reach out and woo the voters in different parts of the two states.
The Fourth Phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh will be conducted on 23rd of February in 59 Assembly Constituencies including 16 ACs reserved for the Scheduled Castes from nine districts. These districts include Pilibhit, Lakhimpur - Kheri, Sitapur, Lucknow, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Fatehpur and Banda district.
The picture of the electoral contests in the Fourth Phase of Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh shows mostly multi-cornered contests on cards. There are total 624 candidates in fray for 59 Assembly seats. Maximum 15 candidates are vying for Sawayazpur while minimum six candidates each are contesting for two seats including Palia and Sevata seat.
The Fifth Phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh will be conducted on 27th of February in 61 Assembly Constituencies including nine ACs reserved for the Scheduled Castes from 12 districts. These districts include Shravasti, Bahraich, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Amethi (Chatrapati Sahuji Mahraj Nagar), Raebareilly, Sultanpur, Gonda, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Prayagraj and Chitrakoot district.
The electoral battle scenario in the Fifth Phase of Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh indicates that there are total 692 candidates in fray for 61 Assembly
seats. Maximum 25 candidates are vying for Pratappur seat while minimum seven candidates each are contesting for seven seats including Milkipur, Payagpur, Barabanki, Zaidpur, Haidergarh, Sadar and Kadipur seat.
The national political parties has now intensified the election campaign in Manipur. Star campaigners of both BJP and Congress parties are busy campaigning in poll-bound state Manipur. The elections in Manipur will be held in two phases and voting for the first phase will be held on February, 28. The election campaigns in Manipur has reached its peak with many central leaders rushing to the State for election campaign.
Union Minister and BJP leader Sarbananda Sonowal arrived Imphal today and he is attending elections rallies held at different places. Prime Minister and BJP leader Narendra Modi is arriving Imphal on day after tomorrow and he will address an election rally in Heingang Assembly Constituency. The Chief Minister of Manipur N. Biren is contesting from the constituency and he will fight straight with INC candidate.
On the other hand, Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi is arriving tomorrow in Imphal on one day visit to the state for the election campaign. Shri Gandhi will address a public gathering to be held at Hapta Kangjeibung of Imphal. He will also visit Shaheed Minar and Nupi Lal Memorial Complex and paid floral tribute to the martyrs.
Meanwhile, Union Minister and BJP leader Nitin Gadkari is arriving in Manipur. He will address two election-related public meetings in two different hills districts. A total of 265 candidates are in the fray for 60 seat Assembly poll. Twenty lakh forty-eight thousand and one hundred sixty-nine voters will decide the fate of these candidates.
