Campaigning has intenisifed for the seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha polls. Senior leaders of various political parties are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters.
Polling in this phase will be held for 57 Parliamentary Constituencies across seven states and a Union Territory on 1st of June.
These include, thirteen seats each in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, nine seats of West Bengal, eight seats of Bihar, six seats of Odisha, four seats of Himachal Pradesh, three seats of Jharkhand and one seat in Union Territory of Chandigarh will go to polls. A total of 904 candidates are in the fray in this phase.
Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that over the past ten years, the central government has extensively developed the border and hilly states of the country, laying a network of roads in these areas. Addressing an election rally yesterday in Nahan under the Shimla parliamentary constituency in support of party candidate Suresh Kashyap, Narendra Modi said that the country’s military has become stronger over the past decade and today, India has the capability to strike enemies within their own territory. He mentioned that the current central government has empowered the military and fulfilled the long-standing demand of One Rank One Pension for ex-servicemen.
Narendra Modi accused the Congress party of wanting to
abolish reservations given to the reserved categories and prioritizing reservations based on religion. He asserted that the BJP will never allow Congress’s intentions to succeed. The Prime Minister highlighted that the central government has granted tribal status to the Hati community in the Giripar region of Sirmaur district, fulfilling their decades-old demand, while the Congress party has procrastinated on this issue. He accused the state Congress government of coming to power by making false guarantees to the public, such as promising Rs 1,500 to women and failing to deliver on job guarantees to unemployed youth.
The Prime Minister stated that the central government has given many gifts to Himachal Pradesh over the past ten years, and the development of Himachal has been a priority. Narendra Modi claimed that the BJP has guaranteed to make 3 crore women millionaires across the country, benefiting thousands of women in Himachal as well. He mentioned that in the coming times, people will receive free electricity, and they can increase their income by generating electricity.
The Prime Minister emphasized the BJP’s long struggle to establish the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya after 500 years. He asserted that the NDA government will undoubtedly be formed in the country and that the BJP will win all four seats in Himachal Pradesh.
