Campaigining has intensified for single-phase assembly election in Mizoram and first phase of polls in Chhattisgarh. Voting in Mizoram for all 40 constituencies and in Chhattisgarh for 20 out of a total of 90 seats will be held on 7th of this month.
In Chhattisgarh, several polling booths in the Assembly constituencies are located in inaccessible areas, where the polling party has to walk several kilometers through forest and hilly areas. The Election Commission of India has decided to provide free medical facilities
to officers, employees, and security personnel deployed for election duty.
In Chhattisgarh, Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will release the election manifesto of the party for the assembly elections this afternoon.
