Congress announces first list for civic polls for BMC elections

Congress finally released its first list of BMC elections candidates. In a major tussle between Congress leader Gurudas Kamat and Mumbai Congress Chief Sanjay Nirupam, as finally took decisions of selections of candidates and other election related decisions.

Mumbai Congress has released its first list 115 candidates for the BMC elections. The list includes 19 sitting corporators, 11 former corporators, 64 Marathi faces, 18 North Indian candidates, 12 Muslim, 11 Gujarati and Jain, five each from Christian and South Indian and one each from Punjabi and Sindhi communities.
